Access Denied Card

Introduction

When a user badges at a door and receives the message ‘Access Denied CARD’ it indicates that the MATCH number being produced at the door had not been downloaded to the controller.

Solution

  • You can copy the MATCH number from the event viewer event. Note the Address. In this example, the user is badging at XNET port 5, xbox 1,  controller 1, reader 3.

  • You can locate whose credential this belongs to by going to the Enrollment Manager > Tools > Find Credential > and searching via MATCH Code. The results produce the first name, last name, and person ID of the assignee of the credential.

  • You can then right-click on the credential > select properties > function tab and review the door group this credential has assigned.

  • You can then go to Administration > Velocity Configuration > Door Groups and review the door group. Modify the assigned door group to allow access to this credential.

  • You can also query the controller directly to see if the credential has been downloaded. First, you would need to grab the credential ID from the enrollment manager. This credential ID is 225517.

  • You can then open the Velocity Diagnostic Window > select the controller via the controller drop-down > and run the Digi*Trac command 35*CredentialD# Since this credential has not been downloaded to this controller the result is ‘User not Found’
