Unsearchable Ipv4 SNIB3

 

 

Description

If you are unable to search for Snib3 via SNIB Hunt and Config utility or Velocity application using Ipv4, it is possibly related to symptoms of having a SNIB3 with an OS reporting v1.00.0001.

 

Other related Symptoms

Users may notice any of these symptoms while using a SNIB3 with base-OS firmware 01.00.0001. The image below is taken from controller properties. (Keep in mind the versions will only populate once you have established communication with the controller)

 

 

OSDP readers falling offline, requiring a reboot of the panel to reestablish a secure OSDP connection.

RS-485 readers do not connect and users will get a message stating: Reader does not support secure OSDP (Default Keys)

 

Solution

Flash the SNIB3 OS to 1.04.0002
