Section 2: Accessories and Modifications

All kiosks have been factory tested before shipping to ensure all functions are operating correctly and the kiosk is ready for proper installation and activation. Please see the notes below regarding any modifications to kiosk.

  • Additional hardware options and technical upgrades that are purchased from your Identiv selling agent or from Identiv directly must be installed by a technician who has been approved for installation by Identiv. CONTACT YOUR IDENTIV SALES REP FOR RECOMMENDATIONS OF APPROVED INSTALLERS.

  • Please consult with your dealer or Identiv Sales Rep for available accessories and optional hardware if the kiosk you have purchased does not meet your physical or technical requirements. Any third-party, undocumented, or unauthorized physical modifications, additions, or alterations to kiosks will immediately void the manufacturer's warranty.

  • Any alteration, addition, or modification of the internal components of kiosks may cause damage to these components and interfere with normal operation and will immediately void the manufacturer's warranty.

  • All internal components that require replacement must be replaced with Identiv factory-approved parts and components and must be replaced by a technician approved by Identiv. Failure to follow this procedure will immediately void the manufacturer’s warranty.

Section 3: Physical Access

  • The physical access to your new kiosk is through the back access panel that is attached via secure screws.

  • To gain access to the internal connections use the included security screw tool to remove the 10 rear access panel screws.

Note: The security screws can only be removed using the included tool.

Section 4: Installing your Enterphone

Before you begin

Choosing an appropriate install location

Check and follow all building codes, regulations and requirements prior to installation, including requirements specific to access for persons with disabilities. Correct installation of your Identiv Enterphone kiosks and access control equipment is a regulatory requirement.

Your Enterphone is secured on concrete. For maximum strength, choose concrete or the substrate the panel is being mounted on. There are 4 x 5/8" holes in the base of the Kiosk and all 4 should be used to secure the panel to the ground. Typical installation is in concrete; use a 1/2" x 5" (minimum 4" depending on the thickness of the concrete) concrete anchor.

Use an anchor suitable for the material they are mounting it on, and make sure they use all 4 mounting holes.

Protecting your Enterphone product

DO NOT install kiosks in locations that are subject to constant or prolonged direct sunlight without the appropriate protection or covering hardware.

DO NOT install or operate kiosks in locations that are subject to constant or prolonged rainfall or inclement weather conditions without the appropriate protection or covering hardware.

DO NOT install or operate kiosks in locations that are subject to water run-off, significant water collection, or high-pressure spray under any circumstances.

Mounting your Enterphone Kiosk

Section 5: Powering Up Your Kiosk

All kiosks are powered by one 5A 12VDC power supply. These power supplies must be connected to standard mains power outlets. Always ensure that power connections and inputs are secure BEFORE activating the kiosk and that they have been installed by an Identiv approved technician. External power input needs to be connected at the power strip “B. 12VDC” as per the marked polarity in the above Figures 1 and 2.

Supplied voltage above or below the above specifications can result in damage to internal components and processes and may void the manufacturer’s warranty.

The cables used to connect power to the Enterphone kiosk must meet the following requirements:

Section 6: Virtual Access and Programming

  • Tenant and access updating of the kiosk is accomplished through the Identiv Web Graphical User Interface (GUI). The Web Administration and login page for this GUI are accessible via any standard web browser, provided that the PC is on the same Local Area Network as the kiosk. The default IP address for each kiosk is 192.168.123.101.

  • The default login information for the Web Application is as follows (both are case-sensitive):

 USERNAME: enterphone
