Reporting Tab

The Reporting tab in Web Client provides predefined reports that allows you to easily obtain various kinds of information about the hardware components, software configuration, people, and event\alarm history of your physical access control system.

Reports based on Criteria

The reporting based on criteria list pane is customized with Boolean expression using AND/OR arguments to include or exclude clauses without the expression.

Before you start editing the Boolean expression, make sure that you understand the basic logical operation.

To select reports based on Criteria:

  1. Click the Reporting tab -> Criteria sub-tab in Criteria and Sorting.
The Field and Function combo box drop-down with buttons display.

The Criteria sub-tab contains the following fields and options.

Field

Click this combo box and select from the drop-down list the field you want to include in this report. You can only select one field at a time.

The fields that appear in this picklist depend on the report you have selected in the Report Tree pane. For example, fields included in the Standard Time Zone report are different from those displayed for the Network Layout report.

When you select a field, the Function combo boxes are activated.

Function

When you select a field in the Field combo box, the Function combo box is activated.  Depending on the field specified, this section displays different fields and combo boxes.  Several are listed below.

Click this combo box and select either the “is” or “is not” function from the drop-down list.  These are the only two arguments allowed for the field.

The default is “is”.

This Combo box allows you to select one of the operations from the drop-down list to complete this argument.

The options are:

Between: If you select a Field option like Event ID or Controller Type, this operator appears.  Two variable fields appear below, where you supply a beginning and end range value.

● Equal to: The value selected from the Variable panel is identical to the values for this parameter you want reported from the Velocity database.  If this value is selected, the Variable pane expands to include a search or picklist option of all possible values.

Greater than: The value selected from the Variable panel is greater than values for this parameter you want reported from the Velocity database.  If this value is specified, then an additional 'or equal to' field appears.

● Less than: The value selected from the Variable pane is less than the values for this parameter you want reported from the Velocity database.  If this option is selected, the additional 'or equal to' field appears.

● Like: The value selected from the Variable pane is similar to the values for this parameter you want reported from the Velocity database.

● Starting with: Start with the value selected from the Variable pane and proceed forward using the Velocity database.
