  1. Open the Windows Control Panel.

  2. Open Administrative Tools > Services.

  3. Right-click LS DataConduIT Service and select Properties.

  4. From the Startup type dropdown menu, select Automatic.

  5. Click the Start button.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Repeat steps 3-6 for the LS Linkage Server service.

Enabling Web Services

  1. Launch 3VR System Manager.

  2. In the Manage Servers tab, right-click the Appliance display name and select Start Web Services.

  3. Click OK to confirm.

When Web Services is running, the Start Web Services option will be grayed out in System Manager.

Installing 3VR Access Event Adapter

In order to install the 3VR Access Event Adapter, the user running the installer must have Windows adminiistrative privileges on the PC.

On the OnGuard server:

  1. Run 3VRAccessEventAdapterInstall.exe.

  2. If version 2.0 of the Microsoft .Net Framework is not available on the system, it will be automatically installed. This may take several minutes.

  3. When the installer wizard welcome screen is displayed, click Next.

  4. At the Ready to Install screen, click Install. A dialog showing the installation progress will be displayed.

  5. After the install completes, click Finish to exit the installer.

Starting the 3VR Access Events Service

On the OnGuard server:

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel.

  2. Open Administrative Tools > Services.

  3. Right-click on 3VR Access Events and select Properties.

  4. Click the Log On tab.

  5. Select This account.

  6. Enter the Windows account name and password that you chose when enabling single sign on in step 2 on page 3.

  7. Click the Dependencies tab.

  8. Verify that the LS DataConduIT Service and LS Linkage Server are listed as dependencies, as shown in the image to the right.

  9. Click the General tab.

  10. From the Startup type drop-down menu, select Automatic.

  11. Click the Start button.

  12. Click OK.

Mapping OnGuard Readers to 3VR Appliance Channels

In this step we will associate OnGuard readers with channels on the 3VR Appliance. When events occur on a given OnGuard reader, events will appear in OpCenter on the selected channel.

Note that only properly configured Readers will be displayed in the Mappings section of the configuration utility. Readerscan be added using the OnGuard System Administration application, under the Access Control-> Readers menu. For more detailed instructions, please consult the OnGuard documentation.

On the OnGuard server:

  1. Launch the 3VR Event Configuration utility (Start-> Programs-> 3VR Security).

  2. Click the Add button to add a new Appliance.

  3. In the Edit dialog box, enter the display name of the 3VR, its IP address, and the login credentials that should be used to access the system.

  4. Edit the channel Mappings to link each Reader to a channel on the Appliance.

  5. When you are finished, close the utility.

Configuring 3VR Channels

  1. Launch 3VR SystemManager.

  2. Click the plus sign next to the Appliance display name to display the list of configuration options.

  3. Click the plus sign next to Channels.

  4. Select the first channel that was mapped to a OnGuard Reader in the previous section.

  5. Locate the Allow Demand Video Recording setting. Click the drop-down arrow and change this setting to Yes (On).

  6. Set Allow Demand Image Buffering to Yes (On).

  7. Click the Save button.

  8. Repeat steps 4-7 for any additional channels mapped to OnGuard Readers in the previous section.

Verifying Successful Integration

  1. Generate a test event on each OnGuard device.

  2. Launch 3VR OpCenter.

  3. In the Monitor panel, select the channel numbers that were mapped to OnGuard devices in step 8.

  4. Choose a recent time frame, such as 30 minutes.

  5. Click the arrow next to Click here to choose event types and select Lenel Event from the dropdown menu.

  6. If the integration is successful, the Monitor panel will populate with one or more Lenel event cards.
