The VWSC website installation on a remote system enables configuring SSL communication between VWSC web service and remote system. To install the VWSC website on a remote system, a website installer bundle is required. The website installer bundle installation is covered as part of the Velocity installation by following the steps below.
In the Velocity Web Services Client Installer window:
Select the Install Velocity Web Service only (Integration support)
Check the Enable SSL Communication for Velocity Web Service and Website checkbox
Check the Create Website bundle for separate machine
Click Next
The Service and Website Settings screens display to enter the existing service account and password to install the VWSC web service.
Enter the Port number that will be used for communication between Velocity and the Velocity Web Services Client.
Click Next and wait till the installer completes the installation of the Velocity Web Services Client. A window like the one appears below.
Click Next.
Locate the WebSiteBundle that is required for the installation of the VWSC website. Typically, the WebSiteBundle is available inside the folder path C:\Program Files (x86)\Identiv\Velocity\WebService\WebsiteBundle as shown below.
Copy the WebSiteBundle folder to the remote system as shown.
Run the WebSiteSetup.exe and wait till the installation is completed.
A completion screen like the one appears below. Click Close to finish.
You can access VWSC from your browser in your system by hitting the URL “https://localhost/VWSC/”
