How to Find the Serial Number and Part Number?
Instructions
The serial number can be found in the following places:
On a white sticker on the server.
On the outside of shipping package on white sticker with bar code and part number.
On the packing slip that came with the shipment
In System Manager, after clicking the server name on the left in the Manage Servers tab:
on shipping box:
In S-Series the serial number is found on the left side of the unit (from the perspective of someone facing the front of the Smart Recorder) on a white sticker. The part number is found on the right side of the unit.
First three characters: BMS or AVS
Second two characters: Month of production (01-12)
Third four characters: Year of production
Fourth remaining characters: Unique serial #
In P-Series the serial number is found on the front on a white sticker, behind the front panel. It is also on the back next to the part number.
First three characters: BMD or AVD
Second two characters: Month of production (01-12)
Third four characters: Year of production
Fourth remaining characters: Unique serial #
In S-Series 2
First three characters: AVT
Second two characters: Month of production (01-12)
Third four characters: Year of production
Fourth remaining characters: Unique serial #
5000 Appliance Series
First three characters: AVA
Second 2 characters: Month of production (01-12)
3 rd 4 characters: Year of production
4 th remaining characters: Unique serial #
1000 Appliance Series
First three characters: ADK
Second two characters: Month of production (01-12)
Third four characters: Year of production
Fourth remaining characters: Unique serial #
2000, 2100, 3000 & 4000 Appliance Series
First three characters 002- or 003-
