3VR VisionPoint Dashboard Overview


The 3VR VMS Dashboard displays a selection of key data that is rendered from 3VR plug-ins such as Dwell, Demographics, and People counter in the form of useful charts. The Dashboard shares key metrics that is data-driven after comparing the Point-of-Sale (POS) data from different channels or zones in the stores. This helps businesses to be ready with informed decisions.

The collected decisions are based on customer gender, age, store movement, dwell time, and sales data pertaining to day of the week and time of day. By this way, business can analyze the data received from a single channel/zone or compare data between multiple channels/zones.

Logging into 3VR VMS Dashboard

To login to 3VR VMS Dashboard:

  1. Open the Web Browser on the system that is in the same network as in the 3VR Dashboard Server.
  2. Establish the HTTP connection by entering http://<machine-name.domain.com/ or http://<machine-IP>.

    The dashboard login page displays as shown in the Figure below.

  3. Enter the user credentials setup for the dashboard. Refer to the Admin User Password Initialization for more details.
  4. Click Login. The My Dashboard Tab menu page displays as shown in the Figure below.

The 3VR VMS Dashboard gives the user an option to upload their company logo. After uploading, the logo appears on the upper left side of the My Dashboard screen.

To upload the Company logo:

  1. Click Configuration link in the upper-right menu.
  2. Click General Configuration tab menu and click Upload… as shown in the below Figure below.

    Note

    Click Edit/Delete to resize/remove an existing logo. The recommended size of the Company logo must be within 3.5″ by height and 1.0″ by width.

  3. Click New to navigate to the logo graphic file.
  4. Select file and click Open.

3VR VMS Dashboard Charts

The 3VR VMS Dashboard display data visualizations in the form of analytical bar charts and line charts. The charts in common share the ability to select date, time range and channels/zones for the data to display through common features and configuration options.
The dashboard charts display the data provided for different channels in different color legends. The color legends identify the visitor by gender (male/female). Different color standards are used to represent male and female visitors. This allows the user to plan and compare their business data by channels/zones

Setting Date and Time Range

The 3VR VMS Dashboard display business analytics data from a starting date/time to an ending date/time. By default, the charts show data from previous week. However, the user can select the start date by time and end date by time.

To select stores:

  1. Select the Start Date and Time with End Date and Time.
  2. To select the month, date, and time:
    1. Click the month, date, and time
    2. Select Time
  3. Click OK.
  4. Click Clear to start from the beginning.
  5. Repeat the above steps from 1 till 3 for choosing the End date/End Time as shown in the Figure below.

Selecting Channels/Store

The 3VR dashboard enable the users to select and display data specific channel/store for rendering analytics from multiple channels/stores.

The Figure below shows the data that is populated across different tiers in the hierarchy. The hierarchy is based on customer’s business model. For example, a customer might have configured Root Enterprise Server->Territory->Zone->Store/Channel as shown in the Figure below.

The user might also configure Enterprise ->Channels as shown in the Figure below.


The user might also configure VMS Server->Channels configured in single appliance as shown in the Figure bellow.


Finally, the dashboard display channels with data only for the specified date/time range as shown in the Figure below.



Selecting Channels with Data

To select the channels with the data the user needs to:

  1. Check specific Channels in the Enterprise as shown in Figure below.
  2. Uncheck the specific Channel checkbox from the Enterprise that need not be displayed.

    Unchecking the Channel removes the data related to the specific Enterprise.

  3. Click Go.
    The charts are redrawn to match the data for the selected channel in the Enterprise as shown in the Figure below.

    Use the right-arrow beside the controls that are hidden to enable/disable the start/end date with time selection as shown in Figure below.

Generating PDF files from Reports

Creating the PDF file of the chart/report allows to generate the output in a portable PDF format. To generate a PDF file of the chart:

  1. Display the desired charts.
  2. Click the PDF icon ( ) in the chart/report.
    The Dashboard downloads the charts/reports in a PDF file and displays. Use the standard PDF file controls to zoom, save, and print the PDF file.

Exporting charts to CSV File

The 3VR Dashboard allows to export charts to .csv data files. Every export has the option to specify:

  • The Channel data that need to be exported
  • The Start date and End date for the data

To export the chart data to a .csv file:

  1. Click the CSV icon above the charts. The Export dialog box display as shown in the Figure below


    By default, the start date and end date are set for a week as displayed in the Figure above.
  2. Select the calendar and choose the desired start date and end date.

    The user can select or re-enter their desired start date and end date again at any time before exporting.

  3. Click the interval drop-down and select the desired interval.
  4. Select the check boxes besides the channel(s).
  5. Click Export.

Using Chart Manipulation Tools

The 3VR Dashboard allows the user to manipulate the chart data by way of tool icons that display above each chart. Hover the mouse over each icon to display the type of chart.

To save the selected chart in .png format:

  1. Click SaveAsImage icon above the chart. The Dashboard downloads the chart in .png format.
  2. Click the image viewer to view the downloaded image or edit the image with an appropriate tool.

Displaying Chart Details by Channels

The visitors’ day wise granular data is displayed in a chart. For example, each data point in the line chart in the Visitors’ by Date chart represents a day as shown in the Figure below, . By hovering the mouse over a specific day in the chart, the details of the store name, date, and number of visitors’ who made on that date is displayed.

Combining Data Points

The dashboard allows to combine data points from two or more data sources from different channels and view the combined totals. The Dashboard updates the chart and the total is displayed. For example, drag two opposite data points for two channels on a chart showing visitors by date as shown in Figure below.

To combine the data points:

  1. Position the mouse pointer over a data point until it turns to a four headed arrow().
  2. Press and drag the data point on top of the other data point until a large colored square appears as shown in the Figure below.
  3. Now, release the mouse and the chart is updated to reflect the combined data point’s as shown in the Figure below.

The Restore tool in the 3VR Dashboard above the chart brings back the original chart.


Displaying charts based on Single Column View

Sometimes, the data in the charts appear cluttered and overlap with increasing data points based on the configured servers and stores. This can be avoided by making the configuration changes in chart settings:

  1. Login to 3VR Dashboard as Administrator
  2. Click ConfigurationGeneral Configuration. The Chart Settings page appears.

  3. Enter the Exit category, Store Hours, and Threshold(min) values as shown.

    The Default selection (By Server/By Channels) option is user based and it appears as default selection during login.

  4. Click Submit.
  5. Re-login and select your chart based on average visitors by gender by day of week for the stores.
    As per your configuration, the Average Visitors by Gender & Day of Week chart gets displayed on Single Column View and By Channels as shown below.

  6. If the user selects more server/channels than what has been configured previously, an Invalid Selection error dialog appears as shown:

Visitor Traffic

Visitor Traffic data is an important indicator that helps businesses to understand the shopper’s behavior and make data driven decisions. The 3VR VMS Dashboard analyzes different traffic counters to arrive at different charts.

The Table below describes the common traffic counters that makes up the chart in the Dashboard.

The Dashboard Analytics data gives the visibility into shopper’s behavior in physical stores through different motion logic analytics. The motion logic analyzes movement and traffic flows based on different parameters like shopper’s age, gender, dwell time, shopping/spend time etc.,


The below topics in this chapter details the channel wise traffic patterns based on 3VR Dashboard charts.

Visitor Analytics

The Visitors’ are shoppers who enter a store. The 3VR People Counter Sensor hardware and its corresponding software plug-ins in 3VR Dashboard are responsible for providing visitor data. Refer to 3VR People Counter Installation and Configuration Guide for more details.

The 3VR Dashboard can be customized based on user preference and for our easy illustration purpose, the Dashboard with chart’s are customized with visitor analytic data to include:

  • Visitors’ by Date
  • Average Visitors’ by Day of Week
  • Average Visitors’ by Hour

Viewing Visitor Chart

To view visitor charts in 3VR VMS Dashboard:

  1. Click Traffic menu tab and choose Visitors’.
  2. Select the Start Date and End Date for the chart and click Go.

The Visitors’ chart displays as shown in the Figure below.

Viewing Visitors' by Date

The visitors’ chart by date enables the user to view the number of visitor’s per date over specific time range. By selecting this chart, the user can view separate data series for multiple channels as shown in the Figure below.

Viewing Average Visitors' by Day of Week

The Average Visitors’ by Day of Week chart provides the total count of the number of visitors for each day over a week starting from Sunday to Saturday. The chart in the Figure below calculates the average visitors by day of week to show the average number of visitors’ over four Sundays in a selected month.

Viewing Average Visitors' by Hour

The Average Visitors’ by Hour chart provides the average number of visitors per hour over a selected date range. The chart in the Figure below calculates the average visitors by hour.

Displaying Charts based on Consolidated View

The Consolidated View for displaying charts enables the user to view consolidated server count results as against individual server count. The consolidated View count by Servers appear as shown below.

  

In the above chart, the individual server counts of VMS 001 and VMS 002 are consolidated to show the count as 7389.

Visitor Age Analytics

The Age Analytics Data Chart provides the visitors’ age-group. The charts in Figure below categorizes the visitors by their age group.

The VMS server performs the demographics analysis on the wide data that is fed. Install the demographics plug-in in 3VR VMS Server. Refer to Demographics Plug-In Installation and Configuration Guide for more details.

The visitors’ age-group are in the range:

  • 7-19
  • 20-30
  • 31-55
  • 55-60
  • 60-80

To view the Visitors’ by Age Group chart:

  1. Click Traffic menu tab and choose Age as shown in Figure below.
  2. Select the Start Date and End Date from the chart and click Go.
  3. The Visitors’ by Age Group chart’s display as shown in the Figure below.

The Figure below below plots the number of visitors by age group per date over the specified date range.

Viewing Average Visitors' by Age group and Day of the Week

In the Figure below, the chart plots the average number of visitors’, grouped according to their age, on each day of the week over the specified date range.

In the Figure below the chart displays the average number of visitors, grouped by age per hour between the selected date range.

The chart in the Figure below display the numerical data by Age Group for a specific date, and day of the week, or hour. By hovering the cursor over the desired point in the chart, a set of channel wise visitor data based on their age displays.

The above chart in the Figure below shows the average number of visitors’ in Washington Heights in the age group between 7 and 19 are 384, between 20 and 30 are 715, between 31-55 are 2531, between 55-60 are 1652, and between 60-80 are 221 on Saturdays within the selected date range.

Gender Analytics

The Gender Analytics Data provides data based on different demographic groups by gender. The charts in Figure below categorizes the visitors’ based on their gender.

The VMS server performs the demographics analysis on the wide data that is fed. Install the Demographics plug-in in 3VR VMS Server/Enterprise Server. Refer to Demographics Plug-In Installation and Configuration Guide for more details.

Viewing Visitors by Gender and Date

The chart in Figure below includes the number visitors by gender per date over the specified date range in the Dashboard.

The chart in the Figure below includes the average number of visitors grouped by gender, per hour over a selected date range.

Dwell Analytics

Dwell Analytics refers to the length of time the shoppers stop and engage in the stores. This helps in determining shoppers focus, interest and interactions with products and promotions at stores. Using Dwell Analytics data, business can determine the amount of time shoppers spend at specific counters and position the products at high traffic areas to optimize sales.


The 3VR Dashboard counts the length of time (in seconds) a shopper spends as Dwell Time and the specific period as Dwell Event.

Install the Dwell plug-in in 3VR VMS Server/Enterprise Server. The VMS server/Enterprise performs the demographics analysis on the wide data that is fed. Refer to Dwell Plug-In Installation and Configuration Guide for more details.

To view dwell charts:

  1. Click Traffic menu tab and select Dwell.
  2. Select the Start Date and End Date in the chart and click Go.
  3. The Dwell charts displays as shown in Figure below.

The charts in the Figure above display the distribution of time spent in the store’s using the dwell count and dwell time that has been captured.

The chart in the Figure below includes the number dwell events (dwell count) generated in a store along with the amount of dwell time. The dwell time reflect the average amount of time per dwell event.

The chart in the Figure below includes the average amount of dwell time per date over the specific date range.


Point-of-Sale

The Point-of-Sale (POS) systems control all daily transactions/purchases between stores and customers. The Point-of-Sale (POS) is important for Retailers. This includes the hardware and the software that is used.

Adding POS data

The 3VR Dashboard is configured automatically/manually to upload the POS data with the transaction amount, the date and time when transactions occurred in the stores. This helps to view the data by date, day of the week, and time of day to calculate conversion rate and spend rate.

The Conversion Rate and Spend Rate are important factors that helps retailers to make decision on how many customers visit the store and buy what brand of products. This helps retailers obtain valuable trend information regarding their customers’ spending in each store.

The data in POS must be in a .csv format for automatic/manual upload. Each column in the POS data is categorized in the order of:

  • Store Name
  • Transaction number
  • Transaction date
  • Transaction time
  • Transaction amount

For successful POS upload, make sure the .csv file contains the transaction date and transaction time in separate columns with no extra comma.

Mapping POS Data to VMS Dashboard

The POS CSV file must be mapped to the 3VR VMS Dashboard. This type of POS metadata mapping leads to more organized data structure, reduced decision-making time, and improved decisions.
To map data in the POS CSV file:

  1. Click Configuration in 3VR VMS Dashboard.
  2. Select POS Data Configuration Tab menu. The POS Metadata Mapping Sub-menu displays as shown in the Figure below.

    The POS Metadata Mapping confirmation dialog window displays as shown in Figure below.

  3. Click Yes to proceed to map to POS Metadata. The POS Metadata Mapping – Column Mapping dialog displays as shown in the Figure below.

    The drop-down in each label in Figure above lists the POS data that must be mapped to the Dashboard. For example, the “STORE_NAME” in the drop-down must be selected to map the Store Name field in the .csv file as shown in Figure below. Repeat the same for the other labels in the drop-down.

  4. Select the options in the drop-down to match the corresponding labels as shown in the Figure below.

    A Sample POS Metadata column Mapping is shown in Figure below.

    It is important that the store names in the CSV file must match the store name(s) configured in the Dashboard. The store names are not case sensitive.

  5. Click Next, after mapping the POS Metadata.
    The POS Metadata Mapping dialog displays as shown in Figure below with store name in POS CSV file mapped to the store name configured in the Dashboard.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Map the Appliance name/Zone name for the stores from the drop-down as shown in Figure below.
  8. Click Finish.
    The store name configured in Dashboard appears on the left pane as shown in Figure below.

    A success message displays when the store name in the POS data matches the store name configured in Dashboard.

Manually Uploading POS Data

After mapping the POS data with 3VR Dashboard proceed to the next step of manually uploading the POS data to the 3VR Dashboard.

Re-mapping of metadata in Dashboard is required if the format of the .csv file is changed. This is applicable to both automatic or manual POS data upload.

  1. Click Configuration in 3VR VMS Dashboard.
  2. Select POS Data Configuration tab menu and click Upload Manually… as shown in Figure below.

Any error that occurs during the upload process is notified in the Status field. For example, the Status field value is set to “FormatError” as shown in Figure below and set to “Pending” if the upload is successful as shown in Figure above. The Total Rows, Duplicate Rows, and Error Rows fields display the successful data processed.

Spend-Rate Analytics

The 3VR Dashboard calculates the visitors spend-rate by total amount of transactions per date, day of the week, or hour, including positive (sales) and negative (returns) transactions, and divides this amount by the total number of visitors.

3VR Dashboard analyzes visitors spend-rate only if the stores point-of-sale data is provided by the user. Refer to Adding POS Data for more details.

Viewing Spend-Rate Charts

  1. Click Spend Rate Tab menu. The spend-rate chart displays as shown in Figure below .
  2. Click the Spend Rate menu item. The spend-rate charts appear.

Viewing Spend Rate by Date Chart

The chart in the Figure below includes the total dollar value of transactions per date, divided by total number of visitors on the specific date.

Viewing Spend Rate by Day of the Week Chart

The chart in the Figure below includes the total dollar value of the transactions divided by the total number of visitors for each day of the week over the specified date range.

Viewing Spend Rate by Hour Chart

The chart in the Figure below includes the total dollar value of the transactions divided by the total number of visitors per hour over specific date range.

Conversion Rate Analytics

Conversion rate measures the number of shoppers visiting a store making a purchase or transaction. The 3VR Dashboard includes only positive transactions for calculating conversion rate. For example, if 400 shoppers visit a store and 150 only purchase, then the conversion rate is 37.5%.

To measure the conversion rate, divide the total purchase made by total visitors multiplied by 100. In conversion rate, the user must know the number of shoppers visiting the store making a purchase. The conversion rate helps to identify trends.

In order to compare the visitor details with the point-of-sale (POS) data, provide the POS data to 3VR Dashboard. Refer to Providing Point of Sale Data for details on configuring Dashboard for POS data.

To view conversion rate charts:

  1. Click the Conversion Rate menu item. The conversion rate charts display as shown in the figure below.

Conversion Rate by Date

This chart shows the conversion rate per date over a specified date range as shown in the Figure below.

Viewing Conversion Rate by Day of Week Chart

The chart in Figure below includes the conversion rate by day of the week over specific date range.

The 3VR Dashboard displays the date range selected over multiple weeks as average conversion rate for each day in a week.

The chart in the Figure  below includes the conversion rate per hour over specific date range.


Store Metrics

Store Metrics allows to make data-based decisions. The 3VR Dashboard offers common store metrics in 3VR Dashboard that includes visitor count, spend rate, labor hours, conversion rate, and queue analysis charts to view visitor data across multiple stores within an organization.

Labor Hours vs Visitor Count

Measures the total hours of employees spent working at store compared the total number of visitors entering the store.
To view the consolidated summary chart for Labor Hours vs Visitor Count:

  1. Select Store Metrics tab in 3VR VMS Dashboard.
  2. The summary chart by labor Hours vs visitor count displays as shown in Figure below.

The chart in the Figure below measures the count of visitors visiting a date range against the labor hours.

Labor Hours vs Visitors by Day of Week

The chart in the Figure below measures the count of visitors visiting by day of week against the labor hours.

The chart in Figure below measures the count of visitors visiting by date per store against the labor hours.

Labor Hours vs Conversion Rate

Measures the number of hours the employee’s spent working compared to the number of visitors’ who convert as customers by making a purchase.

The Figure below summarizes to list the labor hours spent with conversion rate by date, conversion rate by day of week, conversion rate by date per store, and conversion rate by day of week per store.

The chart in Figure below measures the labor hours against store conversion rate by rate. In this example, the group bar chart shows the 30% peak conversion rate of Lincoln Park against 15.0 Labor Hours by date.

The chart in Figure below measures the labor hours against store manager conversion rate by date. In this example, the group bar chart shows the peak conversion rate of Employee 3 reaching close to 40% against 8.0 Labor Hours.

The chart in Figure below measures the labor hours against store manager conversion rate by day of week. In this example, the group bar chart shows the conversion rate of Employee 3 reaching close to 40% against 8.0 Labor Hours as the peak by day of week per Store Manager.

Labor Hours vs Spend Rate

This is a measurement of how many labor hours the employees have spent at the store vs customer spend rate at the store. The Figure below summarizes to list the labor hours spent against customer spend rate by date, spend rate by day of week, spend rate by date per store, and spend rate by day of week per store.

The chart in Figure below measures the store labor hours against customer spend rate by date. In this example, the group bar chart shows the spend rate of Lincoln Park store reaching $20.0 against 15.0 Labor Hours as the peak by date.

The chart in Figure below measures the store labor hours against customer spend rate by specific date. In this example, the group bar chart shows the spend rate of Employee 3 reaching close to $25.0 against 8.0 approximate by date in a store.

Queue Analysis

The Queue Analysis page display charts with key data and important metrics about store queue line. The store queue line defines how many people are in queue for a cash register or bank teller or any other type of terminal.

The sections below help to determine if queue lines are managed efficiently by showing how many customers are serviced within a period. It also allows to determine how busy the store’s point-of-sales area by revealing the average amount of customers waiting in queue.

The Figure below summarizes to list the number of customers serviced, average customer queue, and customers entering the queue.

Number of Customer Serviced

The number of customers serviced is defined as the queue line that is not tracked when a customer instantly leaves. For example, when a customer exits a defined area of service either where the queue line ends immediately before being serviced by a register or when customers leave the area where the register is located. In general, this is when a customer is no longer tracked in the queue.

The chart in Figure below measures the peak value of number of customers serviced over a period by date in a store.

Average Customer Queue

The chart in Figure below measures the average customer queue being serviced over a period by date by stores.

Customer Entering the Queue

The chart in Figure below measures the customers entering the queue being serviced over a period by date by stores.

Heat Map Analytics

The purpose of heat map analytics is to understand and identify areas of high visitor traffic in stores. For example, in 3VR Dashboard to display the heat map of an area for a specific time, a specific channel can be selected in each store for a date and time range.
In the Figure below the temperature gauge shows the traffic color coding. A grey color code indicates low visitor traffic and white color code indicates high traffic areas.

Heat maps can display the directions visitors move. Visitors movement in all or specific directions are tracked. The 3VR Dashboard allows to view the percentage of visitors’ moving in all direction/ particular direction.

The Heat Map plug-in is installed on the 3VR VMS server to enable heat map analytics. The VMS server performs the heat map analysis on the video data input. Refer to the Heat Map Installation and Configuration Guide for more details.

Defining Background Images in Heat Map

Prerequisite: The Background images of the channels identified by the heat map plug-in must be uploaded to the 3VR Dashboard.

The field of view of the camera is the extent of the observable area captured at any given moment. The camera’s field of view is captured by the background images. The 3VR Dashboard display the background images through heat maps.

Refer to VisionPoint VMS User Manual on how to capture background images using 3VR OpCenter.

The supported background image file formats are .JPG, .PNG, and .GIF. Each background image must have the dimensions of 650 pixels width x 650 pixels height or 1000 pixels width x 1000 pixels height.

To upload heat map background images:

  1. Login to 3VR VMS Dashboard.
  2. Click CONFIGURATION.
  3. Select the General Configuration Tab menu. The Chart Settings and Change Logo display in left pane and right pane as shown in the Figure below.

To upload a new background image or edit an existing image for the desired channel,

  1. Select the Store Name checkbox if an existing background image must be edited.
  2. Click the New button to upload a new image.

    Based on the selection, the Upload Background Image dialog box appears as shown in Figure below.
  3. Select the store name from the Store Name drop-down.
  4. Select the channel name from the Channel Name drop-down.
  5. Click Upload to navigate and upload the desired background image.
    After uploading the image, a preview of the selected background image appears beside the selected store and channel.

Repeat the above steps to upload all the background image for all the stores in the channels that must be configured with the heat map settings.

Viewing Heat Maps

To view heat maps:

  1. Login to 3VR VMS Dashboard.
  2. Click the Heat Maps tab menu. The Heat Maps screen displays as shown in the Figure below.

Viewing Heat Map for Specific Date Range

To view heat map information for a specific date:

  1. Click the Date field. A calendar displays.
  2. Select the desired date.
  3. Select the stores and channels to view the heat map and click Go.

Remember that multiple channels from multiple stores can be uploaded, but only one channel/zone from a store at any time can be examined.

The heat map for the selected channel gets displayed as shown in the Figure above.

Modifying the Date Range and Time Range in Heat Map

The Heat map with the default time range and date can be displayed. However, the user can also examine the heat map for a different time range for a specific date.

The time range use a 24-hour clock time and extends from 00:00 (midnight) to 23:59 (11:59PM). The user can drag the right sliders and left sliders below the heat map to select the time range to view the heat map.

Remember that multiple channels from multiple stores can be uploaded, but only one channel/zone from a store can be examined at any time.

Heat Map Directions

Heat maps present data and helps to visualize data. Directions in Heat map is critical data related to visitors’ movement in different directions in a store. By default, the 3VR Dashboard displays data related to all directions.

The user can perform the following actions using heat maps:

  • Turn off data about movement in specific directions. For example, the user can display data related to the direction that major visitors move in a store and hide other directions.
  • Limit the data received from specific direction. For example, the user might want to view only the highest percentage of visitor movement in a certain direction.

Viewing Direction Specific Data in Heat Maps

To view direction specific data in a heat map:

  1. Login to 3VR VMS Dashboard.
  2. Click the Heat Maps tab menu. Select Directions radio button.

The data related to directions display as in Figure below.

The heat map in the Figure above indicate the visitors’ movement towards different directions. The percentage value in heat maps refers to the percentage of visitors’ moving in specific direction. The direction arrows are color coded. The arrow to the left of the heat map shows the direction that each color indicates.

This type of visual artifacts shown with a range of values and represented in different colors helps to understand and improve store businesses.

Hiding Heat Map Data for Specific Directions

Focusing visitor movements in specific direction help stores to identify which products are in demand.
To hide heat map data of specific directions:

  1. Login to 3VR VMS Dashboard.
  2. Click the Heat Maps tab menu. Select Directions radio button.
    The data related to directions display as legend on the left side the background image.
  3. Click on the arrow in the color (directions) to be removed.

The arrows clicked appear white to show the selected direction is hidden as shown in Figure below.

Remember that multiple channels / multiple zones from multiple stores can be uploaded, but only one channel/zone from a store can be examined at any time.

Unhiding Heat Map data for Specific Directions

To unhide specific heat map direction data:

  1. Login to 3VR VMS Dashboard.
  2. Click the Heat Maps tab menu. Select Directions radio button.
  3. Click the white direction arrows as shown in the Figure above. The associated heat map data for specific direction appears back.

Displaying Minimum Heat Map Direction Data

The 3VR Dashboard users may sometime want to focus on high percentage of visitor movement in specific direction in a store or may want to focus less on specific direction in a store where visitor movement is not present.

To display minimum heat map direction data:

  1. Login to 3VR VMS Dashboard.
  2. Click the Heat Maps tab menu. Select Directions radio button.
  3. Use the mouse key to move the Detail slider to the left to display minimum/lesser direction data
    Moving the Detail slider towards left in the heat map panel display minimum heat map direction data as shown in the Figure below.

Displaying Maximum Heat Map Direction Data

  1. Login to 3VR VMS Dashboard.
  2. Click the Heat Maps tab menu. Select Directions radio button.
  3. Use the mouse key to move the Detail slider to the right to display higher/maximum direction data.
    Moving the Detail slider towards right in the heat maps panel display maximum heat map direction data as shown in Figure below.

Heat Map Flow

Heat maps in 3VR Dashboard display granular level of detail to capture visitor flow information through zones. When the Flow option is enabled in Heat maps the color-coded arrows display visitor movement in specific directions.

This type of visual artifacts shown with a range of values and represented in different colors helps to understand and improve store businesses.

To display visitor flow heat maps:

  1. Login to 3VR VMS Dashboard.
  2. Click the Heat Maps tab menu. Select Flow radio button.

The color-coded arrows indicate visitor movement in a direction in the store. The more color arrows in a direction show more visitor flow towards that direction as shown in Figure below.

Like heat map direction, the Flow heat map data can be shown or hidden by turning ON/OFF the flow data for specific directions as shown in Figure below.

Account Administration

The 3VR Dashboard provides administrative functionalities to manage and handle the creation of user accounts.
The Dashboard provides the following administrative functions:

  • Adding User Account
  • Editing User Account
  • Deleting User Account
  • Changing User Password

Managing Dashboard Accounts

  1. Login to 3VR VMS Dashboard.
  2. Click MANAGE ACCOUNT. The Accounts screen displays as shown in Figure below.

The reload grid () allows to refresh and view user accounts in the page in the order of 15, 50, and 100 at a time by applying the filter available at the bottom of each screen.

Adding a User

The Add User functionality in 3VR Dashboard allows to create users and assign users with administrative privileges. The Table below describes the user with Administrator privileges and non-Administrative privileges:

The 3VR Dashboard Administrator has permission to assign store-level responsibility and can select store detail information the user views in the Dashboard.

To add a user to the 3VR Dashboard:

  1. Click Manage Accounts and select Add User. The Add User window displays as shown in Figure below.
  2. Enter user name in the Username field.

  3. Enter a password for the username in the Password field.

    The password must be at least 8-characters in length, must have minimum one uppercase, one lowercase, and one special character.

  4. Select Is Admin checkbox if to assign Administrator privileges to the username.
  5. Select the store(s) the user wants to view as shown in the Figure above.
  6. Click Add. A confirmation dialog window displays.
  7. Click OK.

The newly added user display in the Account list. The Admin user is displayed with a letter “Y” in the Is Admin column beside the User Name

Editing a User

The users with Administrator privileges can edit a user name, their password and the stores that they can access. An Administrator can also assign admin privileges to a non-admin user.

The changes take effect only when the user logs into the 3VR Dashboard the next time.

To Edit a user in 3VR Dashboard:

  1. Click Manage Accounts.
  2. In the Accounts screen, select the checkbox beside the user to be edited.
  3. Click Edit User. The Edit User dialog box displays as shown in Figure below.
  4. Make the desired changes and click Save. A confirmation dialog message display.
  5. Click Ok.

Deleting a User

The 3VR Administrator has the privileges to remove users from the 3VR Dashboard. To delete a user or users from 3VR Dashboard:

  1. Click Manage Accounts.
  2. In the Accounts screen, select the checkbox(es) in the User ID column for single user or click the checkbox in the heading row to select all users.
  3. Click Delete User. A confirmation dialog message display.
  4. Click Yes to delete the user(s).
  5. Click OK. The user(s) are removed from the Accounts screen.

Users with Administrator privileges can change another user’s password. The 3VR users without Administrator privileges can change only their password.

Resetting User Password by Administrator

To change a user password, login as 3VR Administrator.

To change a user password:

  1. In the Accounts page, select the checkbox beside the user whose password need to be changed.
  2. Click Change Password.

Reset own password

If the user is not an 3VR Administrator and want to change their password,

  1. Click MY ACCOUNT in Accounts screen.
  2. The Change Password screen displays.
  3. Enter the old password.
  4. Enter the new password and re-enter it again.
  5. Click Submit. A confirmation dialog window displays.

Configuring My Dashboard

The 3VR My Dashboard tab menu allows to customize and quickly access reports that is used on daily basis.

To set up the charts that are viewed frequently:

  1. Login to 3VR VMS Dashboard as Administrator.
  2. Click CONFIGURATION link. By default, the Report Configuration tab displays.

    A list of all charts that are available in the 3VR Dashboard display as shown in Figure below.

  3. Click the single-right arrow () to choose the preferred chart.
  4. Cancel any selected chart by clicking the single-left arrow ()

    The Table below describes the actions that can be performed on the available charts by using the arrow keys.

People Counter Sensor Plug-In

The People Counter Sensor (PCS) Plug-in allows to accurately track the number of shoppers traffic in the stores at any given time to make strategic decisions. The People Counter plug-in for 3VR Dashboard must be configured to identify the category of store event(s).

Configuring the People Counter Plug-In Settings for 3VR Dashboard

To accurately record visitors’ information, configure the people counter plug-in by specifying store hours to count visitors’ entry event. The PCS plug-in tracks visitor entry event and exit event. For example, if only specific category of store event needs to be identified by 3VR Dashboard, other events can be ignored.

The category of events that are identified by 3VR Dashboard are:

  • Exit event
  • Store working hours
  • Threshold minutes

Identifying People Counter by Exit Event

To identify the people counter by exit events:

  1. Login to 3VR Dashboard as Administrator.
  2. Click CONFIGURATION link. By default, the Report Configuration tab displays.
  3. Click General Configuration Tab menu. The Chart Settings and Change Logo display in left pane and right pane as shown in Figure below.

    The Exit category differ based on the sensors. In stores with multiple sensors the different event names entered are separated by comma (,).

  4. Enter the Store Hours and Threshold value in Minutes.
  5. Click Submit.

Defining Store Hours for People Counter

In general, the daily store hour is tracked as event. The store opening, and store closing hours are recorded using 24 Hour clock. For example, store hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM is entered as 8:00 AM to 18:00 PM.

Data Sync Monitor

Data Sync Status establishes consistency among data received from Enterprise Server to the BridgeServer Plug-in. By establishing data sync, the user ensures that the Dashboard is receiving consistent data.
To check data sync status:

  1. Login to 3VR VMS Dashboard as Administrator.
  2. Click CONFIGURATION link. By default, the Report Configuration tab displays.
  3. Click Data Sync Monitor Tab menu.
    The Data Sync Status screen displays the updated files received as shown in Figure below.

Checking Sensor Data Sync Status

The Sensor Data Sync Status in Data Syn Monitor checks to give the status about the Store Name, Channel Name, and Mapping IP that caused the error.

  1. Login to 3VR VMS Dashboard as Administrator.
  2. Click CONFIGURATION link. By default, the Report Configuration tab displays.
  3. Click Data Sync Monitor Tab menu.
  4. Select Sensor Data Sync Status menu option. 

 The Sensor Mapping Error Data screen display the error status with event time and error time as shown in the Figure below.

Analytic Data Monitor

The Analytic Data Monitor tab display the analytic data sent to the dashboard server from specific VMS store as shown in Figure below. It displays the updated data that is received to determine if there is any data being processed by the 3VR dashboard analytic server. If the data is not received, then the charts does not generate analytic data and starts guiding the user in technical troubleshooting steps.


Report Scheduler

The Report Scheduler enables easy way of scheduling status reports to 3VR Administrators and other recipients in the group. It can be automated as a recurring task to email selected charts on a periodic basis at specific time interval such as daily/weekly/monthly.

Configuring and Scheduling Reports

The 3VR Dashboard provides Administrators to configure email server for status reports and analytics file to be sent to group members or recipients. In addition, the 3VR Administrators also email selected Dashboard charts to specific recipients at specific interval (daily, weekly, or monthly).

Configuring Email Settings

The outgoing mail server (SMTP) settings must be configured to send email messages that contain the daily reports.

To configure email settings and schedule reports:

  1. Login to 3VR Dashboard as Administrator.
  2. Click CONFIGURATION.
  3. Select the Report Scheduler Tab menu. The Email Configuration and Recipient Configuration pane appears as shown in Figure below.
  4. Enter the SMTP Email Server domain name or IP Address in the Email Server field.

    The user must not configure the port number with their Gmail ID in the Email Server field. For example, entering "smtp.gmail.com" in the Email Server field is correct and "smtp.gmail.com:587" is incorrect.

  5. Enter the email address of the SMTP user in the Email Address field.
  6. Select the Requires Authorization box checkbox if SMTP server requires authentication or do not select the checkbox if it does not require any authorization.
  7. Enter the Username and Password of the SMTP server if the Requires Authorization checkbox is selected.

Configuring Recipient Email Settings

The details about the recipient receiving the reports and selecting the charts in the reports before sending must be provided.

To configure recipient email settings:

  1. Login to 3VR Dashboard as Administrator.
  2. Click CONFIGURATION. Select the Report Scheduler Tab menu.
    The Email Configuration and Recipient Configuration pane appears.
  3. In the Recipient Configuration pane, enter the email subject. The subject is common to all email recipients.
  4. Enter the email address(es) in the To field. Entry to multiple recipients email address(es) separated by a comma or semicolon (;) is allowed.
  5. Click the single-right arrow to choose the preferred chart to send to chosen recipient.
  6. Deselect any selected chart by clicking the single-left arrow
    The Table describes the user actions that enables to include charts in reports by multiple ways.

Scheduling the Chart Report Interval

Scheduling the chart report to email at specific interval using the Send Chart Report Interval drop-down menu is possible. The intervals are described in the Table.

Configuring 3VR Dashboard Server Notification Status

Configuring Email notifications in 3VR Dashboard involves processing analytics data files and sending the processed status information to all listed recipients.

The 3VR Dashboard server process the analytics data files received from the BridgeServer plug-in on 3VR VMS System. The Dashboard server allows 3VR Administrators to receive Email with status information about current received file timestamp indicating the processed time by the BridgeServer. This feature allows 3VR Administrators to monitor the Dashboard more effectively to make sure the data is up-to-date.

Enabling this feature allows the 3VR Dashboard server to send the server-side status details to all recipients listed in the To Address of email recipients on the right-hand side of the Report Scheduler pane. The email notification is sent every day @8:00 AM (PST).

To enable email notifications:

  1. Login to 3VR Dashboard as Administrator.
  2. Click CONFIGURATION and click Report Scheduler Tab menu. The Email Configuration and Recipient Configuration pane appears.
  3. Check the Send Status Report Everyday checkbox.
  4. Click Save Changes.

The attached Dashboard status report displays as shown in the Figure below.

In deployments that include only People Counter Sensor (PCS), the visitor data is received from 3VR PCS to the 3VR Dashboard Server.

Sometime, the Plug-in sensor goes off or if no Network Time Protocol server is set, the date/time is set to a default date such as “1970-01-01” as shown in Figure below. The Dashboard Status Report shows warning message to set the correct time in the 3VR People Counter Sensor (PCS)to make sure the visitor data is accurate.

The below Figure display a sample status report showing date and time the 3VR Dashboard received from the BridgeServer.

The Figure below shows sample Bridge Server Data Upload Report. The first section of the report displays the Date and Time the Bridge Server Uploaded data to the 3VR Dashboard, and the second section displays the Bridge Server’s extraction of data from the 3VR VMS Server.

Sending CSV Data Reports

The 3VR Administrators can also configure the 3VR Dashboard to send analytics data in .csv files to the desired recipients. To send CSV data reports to specific recipients:

  1. Login to 3VR Dashboard as Administrator.
  2. Click CONFIGURATION and click Report Scheduler Tab menu.
    The Email Configuration and Recipient Configuration pane appears
  3. Check Send CSV Data Everyday checkbox.
  4. Click Save Changes.

After enabling the checkbox, 3VR Dashboard sends the .csv files to the configured recipients every day @8:00 AM PST. The Figure below display sample store analytics CSV data reports.


Menu Configuration

Based on business and store requirement, the user can install all the analytics plug-ins, in that case it becomes necessary to hide or disable the analytics plug-ins that are not used or not installed. Hidden items do not appear in the 3VR Dashboard user interface and disable items appear but are grayed out.

To hide menu or disable menu and sub-menu items:

  1. Login to 3VR Dashboard as Administrator.
  2. Click CONFIGURATION.
  3. Select the Menu Configuration Tab menu. The Menu Configuration pane appears as shown in Figure below.
  4. Click Hide beside the menu or sub-menu items that needs to be hidden; click Disabled beside the items that needs to be disabled. To enable a disabled or hidden menu item, click Enabled.
  5. Click Save Changes.
  6. Logout and Login again to see the changes.

Analytic Sensor Configuration

In 3VR VMS deployments with People Counter Sensor (PCS) plugin, the sensor is not connected to a 3VR VMS Server as shown in Figure below. The PCS sends the visitor data through a File Transfer Protocol (FTP)or Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).

The user must provide the store details where the People Counter sensor and visitor access data is installed.

Configuring Analytic Sensors for 3VR Dashboard

To configure analytic sensors:

  1. Login to 3VR Dashboard as Administrator.
  2. Click CONFIGURATION.
  3. Click Analytic Sensor Configuration Tab menu. A blank page displays suggesting the user to configure stores for Premium Queue Analytics.

Important

After clean installation, configure Queue in VMS and ensure VMS receives events from the 3VR People Counter. Pause couple of hours to sync the Dashboard data and then refer to the steps in configure Premium Queue Analytics.

Store Administration

3VR Dashboard Store Administration allows to add, modify, and delete existing store details for setting up store mapping with data sensor plug-in. After configuring the store details, The Store Administration pane appears as shown in Figure below.

Adding Store Details in Store Administration

The first step in the deployment is to add a store where a People Counter Sensor is not connected to a 3VR VMS Server and provide the store details.

To add a store:

  1. Click Add in Store Administration. A dialog box appears as shown in Figure below.
  2. Enter the Store Name.
  3. Choose an Enterprise name from the Enterprise drop-down.

    If the store is connected to an Enterprise Server, add the store to the Enterprise. Otherwise, skip from adding.

  4. Click Add. The store added appears in the Store Administration list.

Editing Store Details in Store Administration

The user can edit the store they have added.

To edit a store:

  1. Select the checkbox beside the desired store.
  2. Click Edit.
    A dialog box with the store detail appears.
  3. Edit the store detail.
  4. Click Save.

Deleting Store Details in Store Administration

The user can remove the store they have added or edited.

To delete a store:

  1. Select the checkbox beside the desired store.
  2. Click Delete.
    A confirmation dialog box appears.
  3. Click Yes.
    The Store is removed from the list.

Store Sensor Mapping

The second step is to attach a People Counter Sensor plug-in to the store after adding a store. To attach a sensor to a store:

Login to 3VR Dashboard as Administrator.
2. Click CONFIGURATION, click Analytic Sensor Configuration Tab menu.
The Store Administration pane appears.
3. Click Store – Sensor Mapping menu.

The Store Sensor – Mapping pane appears as shown in Figure below.

Click Add. A dialog box appears as shown in Figure below.

Choose the Store Name from the drop-down the has to be attached to the sensor.
Select a Channel for the sensor data from the Channel Name drop-down, if the store sensor is connected to a 3VR VMS Server.

Create a new channel, if the store sensor is not attached to a 3VR VMS Server. To create a new channel:

  1. Click New.
  2. Enter the new Channel Name in the Channel Name field.

Configuring the Data Extraction Type

Provide the information that 3VR Dashboard requires from the VMS Server when store sensor sends the data. To configure the 3VR Dashboard for Store Sensor Data:

  1. Select the Extraction type for the store sensor upload data.
  2. Enter the FTP/SFTP Server IP Address or IP Address of the server hosting the shared folder in the Server Address field.
  3. Enter a name in the Directory field. This is the name of the directory where the store sensor uploads the data.
  4. Enter the Port number. The 3VR Dashboard uses this port number to connect to the Server. The Dashboard uses the default port number 21 for FTP connections and port number 22 for SFTP connections.
  5. Enter the User Name and Password to connect to the Server.
  6. Click Add.

The Store Sensor Extraction Types for Data Upload options available are described in the table.

The 3VR Dashboard downloads the store sensor data and processes the data. The processed detail displays on the Sensor Data Sync Status Pane.To view sensor data sync status:

  1. Click Sensor Data Sync Status in Analytic Sensor Configuration tab menu. The Sensor Data Sync Status pane displays as shown in Figure below.
  2. The Table describes the fields in the Sensor Data Sync Status.

Defining External / Internal Visitor Counting Sensors

Retail traffic counters help store outlets to count and monitor visitor flow with behavior of the visitors’ visiting different spaces inside the stores. Install wide range of traffic counters within the stores to analyze shopper’s behavior. For example, People Counter Sensor at store entrance to count the number of visitors’, Dwell People Counter to measure dwell time inside stores. However, there must be a way to distinguish the different types of sensors installed in a store.

Differentiating the store sensors is important because it requires to distinguish between the counts measured at the store entrance and at the second floor. If the counts are not distinguished, a person entering the store and then ascending to the first floor would be counted as two people.

To overcome this, the sensors are labelled as external and internal to make sure the 3VR Dashboard give back the right counts. In the above example, the sensor at the store entrance is named as an external sensor and the sensor at the first floor as internal sensor. This provides a separate count of the people who enter the store and the people who go to the first floor.

If a store has only sensors installed at the entrance gates, the user need not perform the sensor designated steps described in this section because by default the 3VR Dashboard considers all visitor counts as external visitor counter.

Configuring External Visitor Counters

  1. Login to 3VR Dashboard as Administrator.
  2. Click CONFIGURATION, click Analytic Sensor Configuration Tab menu.
    The Store Administration pane appears.
  3. Click External Visitor Counters menu. The External Visitor Counters pane displays as shown in the Figure below.

Adding External Visitor Counters

  1. Click Add in External Visitor Counters.
  2. Select the Store Name from the drop-down.
    The dialog box appears as shown in Figure below.
  3. Select the necessary sensors installed at the entrance gates from the checkbox.
  4. Click Add.

The Dashboard calculates the counts from the selected channels as visitors entering the store from outside.

Editing External  Visitor Counters

When to the user wants to add additional sensors to their store, they can use the edit button in the external visitor counters.
To edit an external visitor counter:

  1. Select the checkbox next to the Store Name as shown in Figure below.
  2. Click Edit. A dialog box containing the Visitor Sensor setting information displays.
  3. Check or Uncheck the channels checkbox and click Save.

Deleting External Visitor Counters

To remove a Store Name from the External Visitor Counters use the delete button in the external visitor counters.
To delete an existing external visitor counter setting:

  1. Select the checkbox next to the Store Name to be removed.
  2. Click Delete. A confirmation dialog box appears.
  3. Click Yes to delete the mapping.

Configuring Internal Visitor Counters

Stores having multiple floors with entrance gates on the escalators at each floor may have to configure internal visitor counters for tracking visitor movement. The internal visitor counters are configured on each floor by passing through these gates. In such cases, the internal visitor counters are configured at the entrance gates of each floor.

To configure internal visitor counters:

  1. Login to 3VR Dashboard as Administrator.
  2. Click CONFIGURATION.
  3. Click Analytic Sensor Configuration Tab menu.
    The Store Administration pane appears.
  4.  Click Internal Visitor Counters menu. The Internal Visitor Counters pane displays.

Adding Internal Visitor Counters

  1. Click Add in Internal Visitor Counters. The dialog box appears.
  2. Enter the desired group name in the Group Name field, for example “Second Floor” as shown in Figure below.
  3. Check the necessary sensors installed at the entrance gates by enabling the desired channels, for example Channel1 as shown in Figure and click Add.
    The Dashboard calculates the counts from the selected checked channels as visitors entering the store from outside.
    After adding the internal visitor counter setting, the following in-store flow charts appear in the Traffic ->Visitors pane as shown in Figure below.

Editing Internal Visitor Counters

Sometime, editing counter settings for internal visitors becomes inevitable due to business constraints.

To edit an internal visitor counter:

  1. Select the checkbox next to the desired store name.
  2. Click Edit. A dialog box containing the counter setting information displays.
  3. Check or Uncheck the channels checkbox to be edited.
  4. Click Save.

Deleting External Visitor Counters

To delete an existing internal visitor counter setting:

  1. Select the checkbox next to the desired store name.
  2. Click Delete. A confirmation dialog box appears.
  3. Click Yes to delete the store mappings.

Queue Teller Stations

The Cameras are added to be associated with Queue Teller Stations such as cash register and bank teller service station. The queue teller video images are generated by cameras installed at the teller stations. The teller name servicing the customer is displayed in the display window to own a personalized experience.


Premium Queue Analytics

Premium Queue Analytics allow Organizations to make decisions on how best they can serve customers to have a positive experience by way of real-time data such as customer queue counts, customers serviced, average wait and service time, average arrivals and service count.

The Figure below summarizes to list the labor hours spent against queue counts by date, customers serviced, average arrivals, average arrival and service count, queue events against teller events.

Configuring Premium Queue Analytics

To configure or add premium queue analytics:

  1. Click Configuration and select Analytic Sensor Configuration tabPremium Queue Analytics Add button.


  2. Select Store Name and Channel Name.

  3. Select Extended Channel drop-down when the main Channel Name has any extended queue channel.

  4. Select Enabled checkbox and click Add as shown below.

Important


The Channel Name for Primary queue in Enabled status/column should not be used as Extended Channel, identically the Extended Channel in Enabled status/column should not be used as Channel Name.

While adding, the Primary queue must be added as Channel Name and Extended queue must be added as Extended Channel. Assuming that the user configures by mistake the Primary queue/Extended queue then, click Edit and Disable existing configuration and create a new configuration using Add option.

The system validates if same combination of store and channel name configuration already exist to avoid duplication.

A confirmation dialog shows the record successfully saved for premium queue analytics.

Important

After clean installation, configure Queue in VMS and ensure VMS receives events from the 3VR People Counter. Pause couple of hours to sync the Dashboard data and then configure Premium Queue Analytics.

Enabling and Disabling in Premium Queue  

The enable/disable option in Premium Queue Analytics allows to enable/disable store, channel or extended channel and will reflect accordingly in the charts.

To Disable a store, channel or extended channel in Premium Queue:

  1. Select Store name in the grid ROW and click Edit.
  2. The Premium Queue Analytics-Update dialog window appears.


  3. Deselect Enabled check-box and click Save.

    The update dialog window allows the user only to edit the Enabled check-box and does not allow to edit the store name, channel name, and extended channel. If wrongly configured, the user can only deselect Enabled and then save.

  4. The disabled record appears as shown below.
     

    When the store is disabled the future data of the store and their graph does not display. But, this is not applicable for "Abandonment by Hour" and "Express Line People Counting by Date" graph. The user can view the previous or old data by selecting the specific date and time in the chart as shown below.

To enable any existing store or channel:

  1. Select Store name in the grid ROW and click Edit.

    The Premium Queue Analytics - Update window displays.
  2. Check Enabled in Premium Queue Analytics - Update dialog window and click Save.

The record is enabled and displays.

Queue Counts by Date

The Queue Count by Date chart in the Figure below displays how many customers have entered the queue line by date stamp. The queue count is configured to view numbers across stores.

Customers Serviced by Date

The customers serviced by date chart displays the number of customers considered to be serviced. The chart in Figure below is generated by an algorithm that determine the number of customers to be serviced based on the customers leaving the queue and leaving the dwell zones around the service stations.

Arrivals by Hour

The Arrivals by Hour chart in Figure below displays the average number of customers entering the queue by minute.

Average Wait and Service Time by Hour

The Average Wait and Service time is the amount of time a customer spends in queue as shown in Figure below. The wait time is calculated by the amount of time a person is tracked within the queue area.

Average Arrival and Service Counts by Hour

The Average Arrival and Service time is the amount of time a customer spends in queue as shown in Figure below. The arrival time is calculated by the amount of time a person is tracked within the queue area.

Queue Events VS Teller Events (% Inaccuracy)

The Queue Events versus Teller Events chart in Figure below displays the calculated percentage inaccuracy of queue events against teller events. If a queue event is generated without a teller event, it is considered an error or vice versa.

Abandonment by Hour

Abandonment by Hour chart display data based on the total number of people who abandon the queue in an hour.

Express Line People Counting by Date

Express Line People Counting by Date chart display the count of people who use the express line on a particular date.



Appendix A - Troubleshooting CSV Format Errors

The comma-separate value (.csv) files separates every piece of information by a comma before it moves to the next field in the list. The user might encounter format error during importing .csv files due to incorrect delimiters in the form of extra commas in the list.

To check and remove extra commas in a CSV file :

  1. Open .csv file in Notepad.
  2. Remove any extra commas at the end of lines or at the end of the file.
  3. Save the file as a .csv file.
  4. Import the .csv file again to the 3VR Dashboard.

Appendix B - User Session Search

The User session allows to maintain the previous search information. The input fields that are filtered based on the attributes such as Start Date, End Date, Chart Interval, by Server and by Channels are session based and are maintained after every re-login.
