Getting Started
3VR’s Heat Map plug-in is a video analytics tool that provides unique traffic analysis capabilities to 3VR VMS. The plugin enables graphic overlay in the form of a heat map displaying the area and frequency of motion with a series of colors ranging between red and blue. Red, yellow, and orange as hot spot while blue and green indicate low traffic areas.
With the Heat Map plug-in installed and enabled, you will be able to generate heat maps in the 3VR VisionPoint Dashboard.

Environmental Specifications
Prior to installing and configuring the Heat Map plug-in you should ensure that the location where you plan to perform Heat Map analysis meets the following specifications:
Cameras
Heat Map analysis is possible with both analog and IP cameras at any resolution installed at a fixed angle. Heat Maps cannot be generated using PTZ cameras.
Field of View
The Heat Map plug-in should be installed on a camera with a wide field of view.
