After you have installed Velocity 3.8.5, you can turn the Windows Firewall ON and configure the firewall to accommodate access to the required SQL Server and Velocity ports. (This is required for a Velocity Client/Server installation, but is not necessary for a Velocity standalone Workstation installation.)installing Velocity, you may need to open various IP ports in your firewall.
If you are unfamiliar with firewall port configuration, contact your IT department for more information about doing this.
