Installation and Configuration

  1. Launch Honeywell Pro-Watch 3.

  2. Click Hardware Configuration.

  5. Click OK and Type a descriptive name for the channel, such as ‘3vr_logprinter’, in the Description box.

  6. Click Next. Open the Port Type drop-down menu and select TCP/IP.

  7. Click Next. Type the IP address of the 3VR VIP appliance in the IP Address box.

  8. Type 7120 in the port box located to the right of the IP address.

  9. Click Next. The routing group determines which events will be sent to the 3VR log printer. To specify the routing group, click Add.

  10. Select one of the existing routing groups, or click Add to add a new group.

  11. Click OKNext. If desired, select a partition, or click Add to configure a new partition.

Installing Honeywell Pro-Watch Plug-in on the 3VR Appliance

  1. Launch 3VR System Manager.

  2. Click the plus sign beside the appliance name to display the list of configuration options.

  3. Right-click the Plug-ins folder and select Add Plug-in.

  4. In the resulting Confirm dialog box, click Install to proceed.

  5. Navigate to the folder containing the plug-in file (Plugins.HoneywellProWatchAccessControl- Release-1.0.0.98164) and click to highlight the file.

  6. Click OK. The plug-in will now begin installing.

Binding Plug-In to Channels

  1. Select the Honeywell Pro-Watch Access Control Application.

  2. Click the Bound Cameras field then click the ... button.

  3. In the Bind Plug-in to Cameras dialog box, click the[√] check box beside each camera that should be associated with Honeywell Pro Watch plugin.

  4. Click OK to save your changes and return to the Configure panel.

A pop-up will be displayed notifying you that the 3VR system software must be restarted after making changes. Click OK to close the pop-up message and acknowledge the warning. You will restart software as the last configuration step.

Configuring Per-Channel Settings

  1. After binding cameras to the plug-in Binding Plug-In Channels topic, links will appear under Bound Cameras for each camera.

  2. Type the Reader ID that should be associated with each channel.

  3. Type the IP address of the ATM or Teller Workstation in the IP Address box.

  4. If desired, you may enter a name for the transaction source in the Computer Name box. This text will appear on event cards in 3VR OpCenter.

  5. Click OK to save your changes and return to the Configure panel.

  6. Repeat steps 2-4 for any remaining cameras bound to the Teller ATM Transaction plug-in.

Identifying Reader IDs

Use the following steps to look up the Reader ID of a Pro-Watch reader:

  1. Launch Pro-Watch 3.

  2. Click Hardware Configuration.

  3. Click the plus sign next to the site name to expand it.

  4. Double-click the Readers folder.

  5. Each reader will be listed on the right-hand side of the screen. The text listed in the Description column is the Reader ID.

Each reader sending events to the 3VR VIP appliance must have a unique Reader ID.

Tip

It is optional but recommended to configure an unassigned channel for the plug-in. The unassigned channel will capture access events from the Honeywell Pro-Watch system with Reader IDs not associated with any other channel.

Restarting System Software

When a channel is bound (or unbound) to the plug-in, the system software must be restarted before the channel’s new plugin configuration can take effect.

  1. In the Configure panel, right-click the appliance name and select Restart 3VR Software.

  2. In the pop-up box that appears, click Restart to proceed. Wait 1-2 minutes for the software to restart.

Verifying Successful Configuration

To verify that the plug-in has been correctly configured, check for recent Transaction events in 3VR OpCenter:

  1. In 3VR OpCenter, click the Monitor tab to go to the Monitor panel.

  2. Click camera numbers to select the cameras bound to the Pro-Watch plug-in.

  3. Click the arrow below the camera selector to open the event type drop-down menu.

  4. Select [√]Pro-Watch Event and click OK.

  5. If the plug-in has been successfully installed and configured, the Monitor panel will populate with one or more Pro-Watch Event cards.
